Attendance
Our school displays a positive and pro-active ethos which places high value on attendance and punctuality, as well as valuing its partnership with parents/ carers to promote good attendance. Detailed information can be found in our Attendance Policy which can be found in our Policies section of the website.
Absence from School
If your child is absent from school then we ask that the parent/carer contacts the school, before 9.15am. The reason for the absence, as well as the expected date of return should be given. If the date of return is unknown, then regular contact with the school is required, until the child returns to school.
We also require all absences to be followed up in writing, letter or email, even if the absence has been reported verbally.
Lateness
School gates open at 8.35am and children need to be in class and ready to learn for 8.45am. Registers close at 8.55am and if your child arrives between 8.55am and 9.10am they will receive a late mark. If you are you are later than this without prior notice then this is recorded as an unauthorised absence. If you are late 10 periods in a 12 week period you may be fined £80 per child per parent.
Requesting Holiday in Term Time
All requests for holidays within term time must be submitted via this form. This is required for all children from Reception upwards, including those who are non-statutory school age.
Holidays in term time can only be agreed by Mrs. New the Headteacher. She will consider each absence application individually, although our policy inline with Government guidance will NOT to grant leave of absence during term time for holidays, other than in the most exceptional circumstances.
